Starting position

A high ball under pressure, and a receiver who has to take it without seeing the chaser bearing down behind him. All he has is the sound of the footsteps. He secures first — body strong, ball protected — then plays immediately with the plus one left in behind, to break the pressure and launch the counter. Work both sides and rotate the chaser. In a match you never take a clean ball: this recreates exactly that stress. One for your back three.
