Three Teams, No Ruck

Starting position

Three teams: two attacking, one on each side, and one defending in the middle. Six to ten players per team, a fifteen-minute block. The middle team defends one side; try scored or ball turned over, they sprint back to the middle and it starts again on the other side at once, kick or instant restart. No dead time, ever. Two rules, and they do all the work: **full tackle, and no ruck**. The ball has to stay alive after contact, so the attack has nowhere to hide — punch, get up, offload, keep going. In defence you work line speed, the reload, and above all still talking when you have nothing left. For the last five minutes one attack team stays on to finish. Pure lungs and grit: it teaches you to defend when you are dead.
